J.R. Carlson Laboratories, Arlington Heights, IL, has introduced Gene• Right and Mother’s DHA. Gene•Right is a multivitamin and mineral supplement that contains extra folate, vitamins B6 and B12, and omega 3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA). Each soft gel supplies extra antioxidants for fighting free radicals, which can damage genes. Mother’s DHA is an omega 3 fatty acid from fish oil that is beneficial to a developing infant’s brain, nerves and eyes. It provides 100 mg of DHA and 50 mg of EPA.
